The waiter serving at this was so nice and welcoming, a credit to the hotel, he was a gentleman. Bedroom was so comfy and immaculately clean. Fun, quirky, and a little bit different, the guest rooms at The Marshall House have a unique style that you just won't find in a new hotel.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The nightly wine and cheese hours with entertainment were terrific. We liked the fact that there was always complimentary cold bottles of water and a coffee and tea station in the lobby. Built in 1851, this charming 68-room property housed Union soldiers during the Civil War -- and some guests say their spirits still walk the hallways. However, this upper-middle-range property has some of the drawbacks common to old buildings, such as noise issues, small rooms and bathrooms, and few amenities.

Marshall opened the original Marshall House in 1851, and she was known as an incredibly successful businesswoman in Savannah’s elite financial and social circles. Today, there’s an 1830s portrait of Mary in the reception area welcoming guests to her hotel. On the hotel's third floor, you'll find a collection of historic artifacts from the original Marshall House.
Don’t miss the 45 Bistro, which offers a seasonal menu and an extensive wine list. We loved the daily free musical entertainment and happy hour. There was lots of choice and no limits on quantity. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
There's shopping and dining right outside our door, and beautiful squares and antebellum architecture at every turn. Most guests do not need their car until it's time to leave. City Market is a more diverse and casual version of Riverfront, with lots of live music and vendors selling locally made wares. Afternoon wine and entertainment nice touch. The conditions, like all the courses are excellent and they do a very good job with all the various golf and country club amenities.
Saw tour groups stopping and talking about it across the street but no info was offered to the actual guests of the hotel, which I thought was odd! Guest services is great and so helpful. Every member of the staff was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and quiet, even though our windows faced Broughton Street.

The King room was large with a great view. I don’t love the $50Hold on myCard or having to pay $30 to park overnight but the facilities are really nice. Cribs and extra beds aren't available at this property. Rooms were clean and comfortable and there were nice places within the hotel.
